Springs Dance Academy was founded in 2005, teaching a small number of students ballet, tap and jazz every week in Stourbridge. To date, we now train over 200 students in our core subjects of ballet, tap, and jazz, but also in acro, contemporary, musical theatre and commercial.
The academy was founded in 2005 by Mandy Toner, assisted by her daughter, Anna. Anna became Principal of the academy in 2018, so we are very much a family run business.
We are affiliated to the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA), Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Acrobatic Arts. We provide the opportunity to take regular examinations with our awarding bodies and also to take part in performances at local venues.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to dance and to find a style they enjoy and can thrive in. It is also never too late to start! We believe in removing barriers to enable every child we teach to achieve their full potential and to share in our passion for our art. We also believe that learning to dance enhances physical and mental well-being and instils life skills as our students prepare for their futures. Our academy places friendship, belonging and equality at the heart of everything we do.
